A one-of-a-kind pocket journal, handcrafted from recycled paper fibres in my studio in South Africa. Each page begins as pulp, pulled by hand one sheet at a time using traditional papermaking techniques. Unlike delicate handmade papers, these pages have a satisfying weight and strength, making them beautiful to write, sketch, and create on. Every journal is stitched by hand using a Coptic binding, allowing it to open flat while celebrating the exposed stitching along the spine. No two Wild Root Studio journals are ever the same.
